We had our little sweetie blessed this last Sunday. Mark was really nervous before but he did a really great job. She was calm and quiet the entire morning too which was really nice. It was great having a lot of our friends and family there to support us, and even to meet our baby girl for a few folks. It was just a great day and a very touching experience. There were a lot of thoughts and feelings experienced by the two of us. It's amazing how a little tiny person who we're still getting to know can cause such a roller coaster of emotions.Things have been going rather well beyond the blessing too, with some interesting moments here and there. She likes to have her time on the floor to look around and coo at the things around her. She's got a little squeal that she does when she gets excited and it's super cute. We call it her pterodactyl. She's been doing pretty well with sleeping through the night too.
As for her more interesting experiences, we learned how to get eye lashes out of her little eyes last week. She had one right over her pupil and she wasn't able to get that thing to move to the side on her own so we had to resort to flushing her eye out. Needless to say, she didn't like it and was quite worked up for a couple hours past her normal bed time. This week we're learning about diaper rash. Being that neither one of us has ever seen what diaper rash actually looks like, we were surprised she had it because it's hardly noticeable. We only figured it out because she was really fussy and uncomfortable all day yesterday (what a long day!!) and last night we let her hang out without her diaper for a little and she actually calmed down. That's when we noticed that she was a little red here and there. Today she's slept all day since she only got about 2 hrs total in nap time yesterday. She still seems uncomfortable but she's doing better. I wonder what next week is going to bring in our adventures in parenting.

She's such a cutie!! Ella has the same squeal and we also call her a pteradactyl (sp?)! Isn't it fun to see the light and excitement in their eyes the older they get? And I'm lovin' those cheeks!
She is such a little doll! Congrats on the blessing (congrats? not sure if that's the word I was looking for...) anyway, it's exciting!
